'I am come a Light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness' (John 12:46).

Jesus identified himself from the very beginning of His ministry as the true Light of the world, the One who gives light to all man who comes into the world. He is God's guiding Light that expels all darkness, and open the eyes of man to the truth of His word and to direct man's steps into the path of peace, unto salvation. When man sin, darkness fell upon the fallen world. We were in need of a Saviour to bring  light and truth into our hearts. God sent Jesus to remove that darkness with His true light, which would reveal the gospel of His grace. Without Christ, we would be in utter darkness and  separated from God forever. Jesus the Light of the world make it possible for us to be reconciled to God. He being the Light of the world, give us the opportunity to walk in His light, as we believe on Him. We are instructed as believers, to walk in His light as Christ is in the light, and is given the privilege be the  salt of the earth and the light of the world, as we look to Christ. Christ the Light of the world, has shone his light into our hearts so we may have a knowledge of the glory of God.  As God's children we are called to walk in the light of His love, by the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. Christ, the Light of the world, came to lead His people into all truth and to save us from the bondage of sin. Jesus again reiterated His purpose as He came to the end of his last public address, prior to His resurrection, "I am come a Light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness." Let us therefore allow Jesus to dispel darkness from our hearts and fill us with His light. Let us thank God, for sending Jesus to be that light for us; to enlighten our hearts and enrich our souls and for guiding us into His truth. We ought to trust and believe, so we turn not away from the only means of our salvation - Jesus the Light  and  Saviour of the world.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
