'Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates unto the city' (Revelation 22:14).

The commandments of God will not save us, but it points out our sins and transgressions, directing us to the One who can. Christ died for all, His precious blood was shed for all mankind to save them and reconciled them back to the Father. When we accept Christ believing He is the Son of God, we are justified by our faith in Him and our lives are transformed. As we live for him each day allowing the Holy Spirit to  work in us and through us, the process of sanctification is taking  place. We have a duty to be obedient to God, keeping His commandments and His precepts, aligning our will with his. We cannot do this of our own strength, but in the strength of Christ our Saviour and Lord. We need to acknowledge our imperfections and recognise our righteousness is like filthy rags; that it is only through Christ's righteousness we can become righteous. We whose robes are washed in the blood of Jesus, have been pardoned and account as righteous. We must come to God through Christ, that's the only access we have to the Father. We must rely wholly on the merits of Christ's death and His perfect righteousness in order to gain acceptance before God. We through the power of the Holy Spirit must obey God, His Word, and do His will; to aspire to be like Jesus and strive according to our ability to be holy as God is holy, and be perfect as even our Father in heaven is perfect. When all is complete in Christ, then will we be able to enjoy the privileges afforded us by our Lord and Saviour; a right to the tree of life and access to enter through the gates of the new Jerusalem. God want us to enjoy all and more, that was lost by Adam. Will you not heed to the Saviour's call?

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
