'O Lord, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears' (1 Chronicles 17:20).

David wanted to build a house of worship for the Lord, but God spoke to Him through the prophet  Nathan that it wasn't going to be him, but one of his sons that would build Him a house.
Even though David desired to build the temple for God, with humility he accepted that God said "no". He didn't get on his high horse to say, "look what I have done for you God and Israel and you can't allow me this one thing I want to do for you." No! He wasn't angry or murmured against God, but sat down before God and humble prayed and thank God for His kindness towards him, his servant. In his humility he said, " Who am I, O Lord God? And what is mine house that you have brought me this far?" (Verse 16). God had promised to build a house for him, instead of him building it for God,  and he received the gift in awe of God. He didn't think it made him any greater; but in his eyes it made God greater. He was so grateful to God for all He had done for him and would do for his peoples, that he continue in his prayer to say, "O Lord, there is none  like thee, neither is there any God beside thee..."
We should receive salvation, the free gift of God and every blessing He bestows upon us with the same attitude that David exhibited. It is not us that are worthy, but God. His giving should reflect His greatness as the Giver, not our greatness as the receiver.  God is holy, righteous and merciful. He is the Creator and Ruler of all Nations, the entire earth. There is none like Him; He is from eternity to eternity, our lives are upheld by Him in whom we "live and move and have our being."  There is none like Him in His attributes or His providence. His goodness and faithfulness to us are worthy of praise, Thanksgiving and confidence. There is none like Him in mercy and loving kindness. He is the Searcher of our hearts, the righteous Judge and our King. Let us with humility, in praise and thanksgiving accept the gift of God's amazing grace through His Son Jesus Christ. And with confidence run the race of faith in Him, that we may spend eternity with Him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and

'Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long" (Proverbs 23:17). We are ever to put the Lord first in every thing we do. Let our focus be on the Lord our God, Creator and Redeemer, rather than on sinners, even to envy them. David was tempted to envy the wicked, and remind us in Psalm 37:1 that we should not fret ourselves because of evil doers, or be envious against the workers of iniquity. The wicked will in time reap their reward and fall into mischief, as they hardened their hearts against God and His Word. Even, as Children of God, we are sometimes apt to be envious in our hearts, towards those who do not fear or reverence God; of their prosperity, pleasure and honour, which is not eternal. But we are admonished by King Solomon, that we are not to let our heart envy sinners: but to be in fear of the Lord all the day long. We must exercise our faith and trust in the Lord. We should not look to wicked and evil men who do not fear Go

'For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake' (Philippians 1:29). Those who believe on Christ, must also suffer for his sake. This is part of the Christian life, to live faithful in Christ. Paul makes it quite clear, that when we follow the will of God, we may have to suffer for Christ, even though we are faithfully living for God. The world hated Christ because of what he stood for, and will certainly hate all who follow and are obedient to Him. In following Christ and living a godly life in Him, will lead to persecution for His name sake. Christ's disciples suffered for him, as well as the Apostle Paul, who in Philippians 3:8 said he counted all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus His Lord; for whom he had suffered the lost of all things, counting them but dung, that he may win Christ. Christ is worthy of whatever sufferings we might face on our Christian journey, and we ou
