'For thou art my lamp, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkness' (2 Samuel 22:29).
Jesus Christ is the Light of the world, and we can surely rejoice in His light.
Those of us who are from the Caribbean, at some point in our life have experienced physical darkness, as a result of an electrical power outage or for those living in some rural areas where there weren't any electricity. The darkness was so thick, that it seems as if it would sniff your life out. You could literally feel the darkness pressing upon your mind. But with a flicker of light, it illuminates the darkness and you can see your surroundings clearly. With the light brings joy and gladness and eliminates fear in the hearts of men. That's what Christ brings to our dark and sinful lives. We were once walking in spiritual darkness because of sin; but God the Creator of light, through Christ illuminates our hearts with His light and when we accept that light, we began to walk in the light of Christ and reflecting it to those still in darkness. God loves and cares for us, and cause the light of His salvation to shine upon us, in our darkness of distress, anxiety, and condition of depression, as He did for David. When we make Christ the Lord of our lives, He will enlighten our darkness and we will not fear, because He is our Light and Salvation. He will therefore, brighten every season of darkness and distress we experience. Whatever your circumstances, whatever adversity that may befall you and your family; God will fight for you and will prosper you. Only trust Him! Like David, you'll be able to say, "Thou art my lamp, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkness." Jesus is the Light of the world, and when we choose to follow Him, we will not walk in darkness any more, but will have the light of life. Let Jesus lighten your darkness today.
Have a wonderful day

Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and
