'Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsaken thee' (Hebrews 13:5).

Every child of God should allow the Lord to direct their steps each day; in thoughts, in words and in deeds. As His Children, our conversation should always reflect Him, and must be pleasing to Him. When we seek the Lord with all our hearts, we will be content in every situation of life. Our conversation will be seasoned with grace, and will stamp out covetousness. There would be no room for envy nor greed or discontentment. In harbouring discontentment in our heart, we are saying, "God, we do not trust you." We would then murmured against God; not satisfied with who we are or what we have, and begin to envy others or become lovers of money. Covetousness and discontentment demonstrate a lack of faith in the Lord our God. Therefore, it is important that we shun this appearance of evil. This can be disguised in various forms, such as having the lust of the world; the lust of the flesh; and the pride of life. All of which displeased our Heavenly Father. When we trust God and His promises, we will be content with what we have; which will bring peace and calmness to our souls and will be very pleasing to God. Our reliance and trust in God to supply our needs and give us contentment can lead us to a life of holiness and purity in Christ, our Lord. God promises to bless us, to prosper and give us an expected end. He has also promised never to leave or forsake us, even when we face difficult battles, temptations and trials. Let us take hold of the promises of God and rejoice in Him and be content in what He has bless us with. Let us not allow the seed of discontent to be sown in our hearts; because our God is always ready and able to come to our aid, when we call upon Him.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
