'Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man' (James 1:13).

Temptations in itself is not sin, but the problem occurs when we yield to it. Jesus himself was tempted by the Devil in the wilderness, after He had fasted for forty days and nights. Satan sought  to destroy the Son of God, through his temptations, but Christ stood on the Word of God and trusted His Father, and was victorious. We  too need to stand on God's Word and trust Him  when we are tempted. Our God is faithful and trustworthy and will not orchestrate events in our lives with the intention to lure us away from Himself. He loves us and wants only good things for us. He wants to save us so we can spend eternity with Him. The trials will come, have no doubt about that! And will certainly test our faith. We need to know that when we go through these trials and hardships, it's to strengthen us. God's purpose in those times, is to draw us even closer to Him. We must never seek to use these trials as an excuse to blame God, saying, "We are tempted of God because he brings these trials on us." No, not so, God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does he tempt any one. We must trust that God is able to see us through these trials and hardships. In these difficult times we need to trust God as our Provider, that he is faithful to provide for our needs; as our Comforter, when we are hurting; as our Healer in times of sickness and as our Waymaker as we seek his path. There is absolutely nothing too hard that God can't do, He is more than able. This is the time we need to trust God more and draw closer to him, as our help comes from him. When we are tempted to be unfaithful to God during our trials, remember it is not of God. He can't be tempted by evil; He is eternally and unchangingly good and therefore tempts no one. We are tempted when we are drawn away of our own lust, and enticed.  (James 1:14). God is the source of all good things. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him, the Father of light who has the power to speak and it is done. Why then shall He not make all things good? He uses our trials for our benefits to enable our learning as we grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour. Whilst, Satan brings temptations upon us for to harm and prevent us from growing spiritually in Christ. We ought to resist Satan and his temptations, that we may not sin against our loving God. It is He that can turn our trials and temptations around for our eternal good.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
