'And this is love, that we walk after the commandments. This is the commandment that, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it' (2 John1:6).

God is love and it is because He has put his love in us that we know how to love. We ought to love God with all our heart and all our soul and all our might and love others as we love ourselves. This is the agape love. This kind of love is selfless and focus more on others than ourselves. If we dont love God, then we can't know him, and is not of him. When you love someone, you know them through and through, you want the best for them and you'll do anything for them. Well God loves us and want the best for us and has laid down his life for us through His only Son, Jesus that we can be with him forever. What wonderful and amazing love! Love is not simply an emotion, but requires action as we see demonstrated by God in giving his Son as a sacrificial offering for our sins. God's love requires action based on his truth, as we obey his commands. This love, that is of God, is inclusive of loving one another as well as, walking in obedience to His truth. If we choose to follow Jesus, then we must love  one another, that is a direct command of God. Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love Me, you will keep my commandment." It is the responsibility of each of us to heed the Word of God, to obey and walk in His way. It is the will of God that His  Children should walk In the truth of the Gospel and abide by it, as we received it when we first heard and believed. Let us keep ourselves in the love of God, by walking after his commandments, trusting in his truth, believing in Christ by faith and have love for one another. This is the sure evidence that we love Him, as we faithfully keep his commandments.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
