'Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield'
(Psalm 115:11).

All who are of the seed of Abraham, and worshipped the Lord God in spirit and in truth, should reverence Him and trust in him. He is their help and their shield in times of need. As we seek daily to worship the true and living God, we shall behold His glory and be change from glory to glory, into His same image (see 2 Corinthians 3: 18). It is only God who can transform our lives through the power of His Holy Spirit, as we experience true worship with him and learn to trust in him; then we become more and more like him. There are people who trust in idols and not the true and living God. Their gods have eyes yet they cannot see; they have ears but cannot hear; nose, but cannot smell; mouth, but cannot speak; hands, but cannot handle anything and feet, but cannot walk. In other words they are helpless. Our God can see, hear, smell, speak, walk. There is nothing our God cannot do. He is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent; and is the Creator and  Sustainer of all things. He is our help and shield and when we trust in Him we are truly bless. Our fear of God is like an intimate child-like fear which is pure and trusting. It is a reverential fear that we experience with awe when we come before a holy and powerful God. When we experience this fear of God, it leads us to trust him wholeheartedly, to have faith and confidence in his ability  to help and shield us. God is faithful and we are encouraged to not only fear Him, but to also trust  in him and he will bless us as he has promised. The Lord has been our help and our shield and will not abandon his people who love and trust in him. Let us praise the Lord and trust in him while we are alive, as the dead cannot do so. For their is no other security or strength but in the power and goodness of God, who is our divine help and protection.

Have  a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
