'Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest' (Joshua 2:9).

After the death of Moses, the Lord God encouraged and command Joshua to be courageous and not be afraid or dismayed, because He would be with him wherever he went. He would be there for with him, as he lead the Children of Israel into the Promises Land. When we trust in the Lord and His Word, we will realised  that His commands are not impossible, because with God all things are possible. Just as the Lord commanded Joshua  to be strong and courageous, we too are admonished to do likewise and the Lord will strengthen our hearts and be with us. We are to simply place our trust in God, and not our own courage and strength, because the arm of flesh will fail us. That is, we are to draw strength from the Lord and not depend on our own thoughts, or strength at anytime. Like Joshua, those who are in leadership are reminded by the Lord, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous..." We are to allow God to saturate our lives with the truth of His Word; to learn to meditate upon His promises and to trust His Word. We ought to accept that God is with us, and strive to work with him through every aspect of our lives and nestled into His amazing love. As believers we are to immerse ourselves in the Word of God, learn to meditate, pray and have a  deep trust in the Word of truth. God is all- powerful, and is our only strength. His strenth is  made perfect in our weakness. Like Joshua, let us trust the Word of God and act upon it. We must always seek to know His truth. We ought to follow God's instructions in His Word, believe and stand firm in faith and the Lord promised to be with us wherever we go. His grace is All-sufficient and is able to aid you when you call upon his name.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
