'And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation'
(Psalm 35:9).

We have reasons to be joyful in the Lord, not because of our own skills, but in what he has done to save us. As David ascribed all honour to Jehovah, disregarding those who want to do him harm, found unspeakable joy in the Lord; so we must learn to turn away from our enemies or the things that hinders our salvation to our God, rejoicing in his salvation. He is the mighty and Sovereign God who alone can saved us, and keep what he has committed to us, and to preserve us from falling. So why not be joyful and rejoice in His salvation? We have so much to rejoice in the Lord, that will fill us with much joy, as Christ our wonderful Saviour has atoned for our sins with his precious blood. He has made it possible for us to have eternal life and has laid a firm foundation for our faith and the hope of eternal glory and happiness. We do not have to fight our own battles, Christ is always willing to act on our behalf when we surrender everything to Him. We ought to be ever grateful to God for His saving grace, expressed in the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ. Our joy in God and in His salvation is the only true and satisfying joy we will ever experience. Joy in anything apart from God is not true joy. So let us rejoice always in His salvation and enjoy the hope of eternity with him, when he returns.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
