'Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else'
(Deuteronomy 4:39).

The Lord is indeed God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. We ought to be faithful and true to God, who is ever worthy of our praise. We need to consider this important truth about God and keep  it fixed in our hearts continuously. The Lord owns the heaven and the earth and does what he  pleases with them. We rejoice to know heaven is  the Lord's dwelling place and earth his footstool; we are His creatures and are under his authority. Our obedience to God cannot merit salvation since it is a precious gift from Him. But it does lead us to be recipients of this free gift, which is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Only as we become obedient,  believing and trusting in Jesus by faith that we receive the gift of salvation. God's love for us demonstrate His great and mighty power and his goodness towards us. And will lead Him to protect and deliver his people, who trust and obey him. He is the God of the heaven and the earth and there is no one else. Let us consider this truth and keep it in our hearts. As we seek to know the truth about God, let us consider and and apply them to our daily lives. Let us in our communion with the Father, through Jesus Christ His Son, study the Word of God and pray daily. Let us acknowledge His Sovereignty and that He alone is God, the only true and wise God, of whom there is no other. We ought to give Him the highest praise as we recognised his infinite power and grace; the All-sufficient God who cares and provides for our needs.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
