'For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father'
(Ephesians 2:18).
It is through Jesus that we have access to the Father. It doesn't matter what culture we were born into, or which part of the world we are from; we are all sinners and salvation is only found in Jesus, who gives us the Spirit to live within us, and grant us access to the Father. As sinners we are all separated from God and deserve to be. But through his mercy and grace we are saved through faith in Jesus Christ. As believers, we have nothing to brag about, because we still are unworthy, but saved by the precious blood of the Lamb - Christ. We are to be kind to others, especially those of the household of faith, to lift them them up and strengthen them. We should not act like we are better than others, since we have been saved by the same God. The Jews made that mistake with the Gentiles of which Paul spoke against. We have to remember, it is only by grace through faith in Christ's redeeming blood, that we have access by one Spirit, to God the Father, and have been brought near to the throne of God. We must show boldness with confidence that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need. Today, reflect on what God has done for you, even when you know you don't deserve it. Consider what the Father has graciously given you as a sinner. When we know Christ and believe in him, through his blood, he reconciled us to the Father, giving us access to Him by one Spirit. The procedure of salvation involves God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Let us not take our salvation lightly or for granted, but thank God and appreciate His payment in full for our sins, through his Son, who gives us access each day to a closer walk with God.
Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend
'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
