'No there is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God'  ( 1 Samuel 2 :2).

Hannah was barrened for a very long time, and kept praying to the Lord for a son. She promised the Lord if he gave her a son, she would give him unto the Lord all the days of his life... (1 Samuel 1:11).
God heard and grant her  a son. She was overjoyed and with much rejoicing, prayed to the Lord, "There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God." Only she knew how the Lord has truly blessed her and what he has done for her; that she could fill her heart with joy and her mouth with praise to her Lord and King, the Holy One of heaven. What have the Lord done for you lately? How did you respond to His blessing? Did you, like Hannah fill with gladness, rejoiced, celebrated and gave God thanks? We must seek to give God praise, glory, adoration and thanks in all circumstances. He is God and there is none beside him, there is none holy but by him. We should celebrate in thankfulness to the true and living God; the solid Rock Jesus Christ, who is indeed the Rock of all ages, and our salvation. Shall we fear anything? The answer is no! Because our safety and protection are centred in Christ, who is the Rock, and of which there is no other rock like him. His grace is sufficient for us, we are made perfect in his love, as our mind is stayed on him, and there is none like our Lord. Praise God! He is Sovereign, Mighty, Powerful, Holy and his love know no bounds. He is the Rock of refuge for his people, justice and peace are his nature, there is no other rock that can do what our Lord can do. He is Jehovah, the only One, eternal and infinite, who sees and knows all things. Know that, in our distress we can cry out to Him and if we believe that He will answer our prayers, He will. If we fail to ask  we will not receive, or if we ask amiss we will not get the answers we seek or the blessings we are looking for. Let our  asking be a way to glorify God, ask unselfishly!

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
