'Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee' (Psalm 33: 22).

The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon all who fear him... (Psalm 103:17). We ought to hope in Christ and not in our own merit, but let it be according to the measure of grace, that  God has bestowed upon us. Let the fragrance of God's love refreshes our  mind and soul to give us hope and confidence in Him as our Lord. God is our help and shield, therefore, let us express our faith and dependence  on Him, in all our trials and our distresses. It is only God who is worthy of our praise, because of the salvation he gives to all who fear him. When we learn to trust and dependent upon God and his mercy, our lives will develop patience, endurance, confidence and joy. As we seek to trust God, let us affirm our allegiance to him, as we hope with expectancy, and being desirous of his favour towards us. Let our prayers seek favour with earnest supplication from the One who has the authority to give them. Let us learn to delight ourselves in the Lord, that he might grant us the desires of our heart. Let us learn and appreciate the goodness of God, which keep running after us, even when we don't deserve it. As we contemplate His sovereignty and his providence we will recognise his greatness and mighty power, which no other force could bring. Always trust the Almighty God, and remember his eye is upon his children, who reverence and hope in Him. He sees everything, good or bad and is acquainted with all our ways, as he seeks to guide us to a better way in Him. Let us rejoice in the Lord with gladness of heart, knowing He is a faithful God and is committed to us forever. So allow God to guide and lead you as He seek to save your soul. And let us hope in the Lord for an eternal fullness of joy as we trust his promises.

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
