'Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door' (James 5:9).

The coming of the Lord is at hand. Jesus will soon put in His appearance, but are you ready? We must therefore be patient and take courage and strengthen our hearts while waiting. As followers of Christ, we will suffer injustice, oppression and even persecution for choosing and following Christ. But our faith in Him must be solid as a rock, never wavering.  We must desist from complaining and grumbling against each other, especially fellow brethren, lest we be condemned, as Christ our Judge stands at the door. Let us remain faithful to God through our sufferings. He will lift us up at the appointed time, but we must fully trust Him. The reality of life in this world has many challenges, and with them come tests of our faith in God. Life can be filled with deep pain and anguish, it can be unfair and unjust; it is in these situations that we are sometimes tempted to grumble. Sometimes we grumble or complain against God, when we are dissatisfied or angry; or against those who cause us pain and sufferings; sometimes it might even be against our brethren. James is warning that these pressures of life are inevitable in the Christian pathway, but in the midst of it all, we must be patient and establish our hearts. We are to guard the avenue of our hearts; don't fall in the temptation to grumble against one another, when we get frustrated, been hurt by others or just being angry; lest we sin. It indicates lack of trust in God, and show lack of self-control when being provoked. We must therefore, be patient whilst suffering, depending on God for the outcome, not ourselves. We must remember, that Christ died for all, when we didn't deserve it; we must be careful about how we think and treat others who don't deserve it, and let go of our grudges, seek to forgive and leave all in the hands of God. Lord help us to love mercy and act justly as we exercise faith in You, and express the grace of God to one another. Amen

Have a wonderful day

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
