'Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful' (Psalm 116:5).
No one could love except God place his love within them. God is love and he first love us, that we can experience and know how to love. The Psalmist said in Psalm 116: 1, "I love the Lord, because He hath heard my voice and my supplication." We love God because He is our God, who loves and gave his life for us, through the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ. When we acknowledge our sins and what God has done for us, we too like David, can utter the words, "Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful." If we want to know how gracious and righteous God is, we need to take a look at the Cross. God is merciful and that we know; He would not have been our God without being merciful, gracious and righteous. Our God is gracious, so we can have hope when we call upon Him. He is righteous in his justice towards us, we can safely and confidently trust His promises and rely upon them. He is merciful in pardoning us, when we come to Him and ask for forgiveness. In our times of need, we can call upon the Lord Jesus, the author and giver of all grace, to help us. God is not only faithful to us in his promises, but compassionate and a sympathising Saviour, who is able to save us out of all our troubles. Let us love the Lord, with all our heart, mind and soul. He loves and sees us as a treasure, He delights in us and is a gracious God. Let us like Christ, testify of the truth that God is gracious, righteous and merciful.
Have a wonderful day
'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...
