'Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?' ( Romans 2:4).

Paul recognised the haughtiness and  presumptuousness of the Jews, as God's special people which led them to show contempt for the riches of God's kindness, forbearance and patience. This attitude allow them to be judgemental about the Gentiles and complacent about their own sin. Let us take heed and be mindful of of having a judgemental attitude that we miss God's goodness, his patience and his tolerance. It is the tolerance and patience of  God towards us that leads us to confess our faults, turn from our sins and be returned to that sweet fellowship with Him. God's goodness is manifested in "long suffering and forbearance." His will and desire are for us not to perish, but that we should come to repentance. He did that for us at a high cost, the death of His Son. What a long suffering God we serve!

God is indeed good because His nature is infinitely good; there is nothing that has absolutely perfect goodness but God. Be grateful for each day you're awake to the light of a new day; that God has kept you; you're still breathing. Another day to do God's will, to worship and hear the preaching of His Word; to heed to His invitation to come to Him. Is God now justifying His goodness towards you? The riches of God's goodness is immeasurable - His greatness, the abundance of His kindness and patience towards us sinful beings. Look around you, look within you and behold the richness of God's goodness. Who can meditate on His goodness and not feel the call to repentance?

God has given us time and opportunity to turn to him. His grace give you the invitation to come to him, He is waiting to welcome you with open arms. Today, reflect on God's goodness and His patience. His goodness supplies our wants, His patience bears with our sins. His goodness is for ever but His patience may end tomorrow. So let's take hold of Jesus as He patiently calls us to Him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
