'A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directed his steps' (Proverbs 16:9).

When we fear and worry about our circumstances or having perfect plans, we end up doing nothing, or start doubting what we  are capable of doing. We then lose the blessings for faith and diligence. We can freely devise any plan but it is God who directs. He is the one who rules over us. We all have a free will to choose as we may, but it is still God who rules over us. It is a good thing to set goals and plan ways and means to achieve them, but ultimately it is the Sovereign God that manages the details of actions, so we can be dependent on Him. You only need to put your life and its plans in the hands of God. When you place your plans in his hands, the Lord will direct your steps; it may be to find the right partner, to receive a good education, to give you favour, to find the right job, owning your own home, to be successful, owning your own business. So honour Him and give Him the glory!
God expects you to apply yourself diligently to achieve your goals and the outcome will depend on His favour; not on your diligence in planning, or executing your plan, or your own ability.  He promises to take care of you and provide for your needs because of His love for you. Others may even be plotting against you, or may even be trying to get rid of you, perhaps in your job. But what they meant for bad, God meant it for your good. We see in the Bible the story of Joseph. His brothers tried to get rid of him because of jealousy and sold him into slavery. Joseph purposed in his heart to find them and see if it was well with them and to being back words to his father. But God is then directing his steps into slavery, to a prison and through both to the throne. He was second in command to the King of Egypt. Joseph was faithful to God throughout his journey and save his family and others from the drought that was to come. How great is our God! We have nothing to worry about, so let us therefore, commit our ways unto the Lord and He will direct our steps as we take them. Give yourself up without self-confidence and arrogance to the guidance of God, doing your duty and leave the rest with humility and confidence to God.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
