'Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction' (Isaiah 48:10).

Isaiah was referring to the Jews being captives in Babylon during their afflictions and trials, that God wanted to purify them. He didn't want to destroy them only to refine, enoble and sanctified them, as he seek to discipline them. It is the same He wants for us today, as He seek to develop and make us ready for eternity. We are all in need of God, without trials we do not feel the need for Him or His help. When trials come, however, we see evidence of His eyes upon us, as He seeks to draw us to Him. God loves us and no matter how much trouble we are in, the degree of our pain; our perplexity; our grief; nothing can change God's mind towards us. He loves us unconditionally. When He has tested you in the furnace of afflictions, it may alter your circumstances but not your acceptance with God. He allows us to go through our fiery furnace experience to evaluate us and see whether He can mould us and fashion us in His work. God uses the Holy spirit to melt our hearts, then He does the fashioning, moulding and remaking. God may suffer persecution and reproach to befall us, when we are cold and indifference to His cause.  It is important to note, that though all men are afflicted - may be for want of employment, through injustice, through sickness, or as a result of bereavement; it's not everyone that is afflicted is a child of God. As God's children, we are special to Him, and He does what is best for us, for our eternal happiness.  He is our Refiner and Purifier who regulates the temperature of the fire as He sees fit for our circumstances; but His presence is with us throughout the process. We are His Jewels, His chosen and peculiar people. Let us live as such, as we look for His Second Coming and be thankful for our afflictions and for being refined by Christ.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and

'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more

'Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still' (Psalm 4:4). God knows everything about us, because he is God, our Creator and there is nothing that can be hidden from him. He knows the heart and the intents of the heart; Our thoughts, emotions, desires and motives, whether they be good or evil. He knows the godly from the ungodly, and have set apart those who are godly for himself, and will hear when they call unto him (verse 3). We are all called to be in a right relationship with God. Those who accept this call should have daily communion with Him through the study of His Word, prayer and supplications, allowing the Holy Spirit access in their hearts, that they might not wilfully sin against Him. We need to search our hearts daily and be silent before God as we contemplate his grace and his mercy towards us, and He will reveal Himself to us. When our enemies seek to do us harm, or people speak lies about us, simply look to Jesus and trus
