'Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of your Lord Jesus Christ' (Ephesians 5:20).

There is so much to give the Almighty God thanks for. What are you thankful for today? Thanksgiving is a lifestyle! Notice the Scripture said we should give thanks always, not sometimes, when we feel like it, but every waking hour of our lives. We should give God thanks when we wake up, throughout the day and before we go to bed at night. We should have a mindset that express an "attitude of gratitude" that will elevate us and bring physical and spiritual health. We must daily fix our eyes on Jesus the true source of every good thing in our lives. What has God done for you lately? Give Him thanks. God's love for us is immeasurable; His love  cost him the life of His Son at Calvary. He is seeking every day to have a relationship with us, because we are His Children and He loves us. His deep and abiding love should touch our hearts and move us to praise and give Him thanks. We give God thanks also for His forgiveness. The fact is, we are all sinners who come short of His glory. Christ makes intercession for us, we are saved by God's grace and receive forgiveness from God for our sinful choices, and become changed in the process. Shouldn't we respond to God with gratitude. Reflect on what sin God has forgiven you and give Him thanks. We give God thanks for His plan for our lives. As followers of Christ, we are set apart by God, having the privilege of being co-labourer with Him in His work for the salvation of man. And to share in the blessings of what Jesus did on the cross for us. Let us now come before His presence with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, reverence and awe. We can thank God for creation; appreciating His handiwork in nature, in the heaven above and how wonderfully we are made. What about His protection, His provision for our needs each day and of course, we cannot exhaust all the things to be grateful to God for. So today appreciate God's goodness, spread His love around, exalt His name on high and give Him thanks in the name of Jesus Christ.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
