'Let us lift our hearts with our hands unto God in the heavens'
(Lamentations 3:41).

We are all in need of Jesus! And as such we ought to examine ourselves daily and afflict our souls before God. Everyone knows well to lift up their hands unto God when affliction comes, but what about the heart? Isaiah 29: 3 says, "This people come to me with their tongue, but their heart is far away." Are your heart still fixed on the earth, when you come to God? Or is it lifted up to heaven, to the God who is on the throne in heaven? Our mode of prayer is important. We should set our heart to  meditate upon Christ. With a humble and contrite heart come before God to be pardoned of our sin; to be reconciled to Him, through Jesus Christ, our Saviour. We can be lifted from our sorrows and perplexities as we open our hearts, and raise them up to the One who can read the heart. The prophet Jeremiah  beseech us to "Lift our heart with our hands unto God in heaven." He wants us to remove all hypocrisy from our prayers when we come to God, and to join our heart and hands in fervent prayer. We must seek to pour out our heart before the throne of grace, with the Holy Spirit interceding for us and within us. God is in heaven on His throne of grace, full of love and compassion and mercy towards His people, who with willingness and sincerity lift up both heart and hands to Him; in ready expectancy to receive pardon and peace through Christ. Lifting up our hearts to God require humility, commitment, faith and obedience. As we connect to Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit our prayers will be truly accepted. Let us lift up our heart in truth to God; as the Scripture says in Hebrews 10:22, "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." Come to the fountain of Christ and allow Him to wash you with pure water and a true heart to worship Him.

Have a wonderful day and a bless weekend 🌹🌹

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...
