'Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh' (Matthew 24:44).

There is no doubt about it, that Jesus is coming soon. But are you ready for that great moment? What does Christ's coming means to you? The passage of Scripture indicates that no one knows the exact time Jesus will appear, but we ought to get ready, because He is coming - it's a certainty.  It is only God who knows the appointed time of Saviours return. We need not waste valuable times debating the exact time He will come, but be in a state of spiritual readiness every day, in anticipation that it could be our last. We are in the last days of earth's history and the wrath of God will be poured out upon the earth. But God has promised to shorten the days for His elect sake, and we can see it being manifested right now. We have such a loving and merciful God, who wants to save His Children and gives us every opportunity to do so on a daily basis. He even send His Son Jesus to die for us sinners so we could live eternally with Him. But are you ready to leave this world with its cares, its troubles, and anxieties for a better world Christ has prepared for you? Jesus is bidding you to come to Him as you are - broken and empty. Christ the Author and Finisher of our Faith has promised to make you ready, but we too have a part to play in readiness to meet him. We have to be sober, vigilant and watchful, that we are not caught unawares, because Jesus will come like a thief in the night when no one expects him. We must have faith in God - live a life of faith, a life of prayer and a life of holiness and be a witness for him, while we wait for Jesus to come. It is a  certainty that Jesus will come, even though there is uncertain as to when He will put in His appearance. However, we must be ready and watchful at all times and live in the light of His coming.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...
