'Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:11).

God the giver of life teaches us the importance of giving, through His love. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God is always giving and when we exercise that agape love - the love of God; we will give to others liberally. Giving is not be legalistic, oppressive or mandatory; but should should be voluntary, cheerful and from a place of faith in God. "Every man according to the purpose of his heart should give not grudgingly, or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 11:8). God not only provides for our basic needs to our satisfaction and contentment, but also surplus to help in relieving the poor and needy. When we exercise our faith and give willingly of what God has blessed us with, it will cause an overflowing thankfulness to God. Knowing God and experiencing His love should motivate us to give willingly and cheerfully; our money, our time, our energy, our effort to meet the needs of others. Our willingness  allows us to participate in the work of God - being co-labourers with Him. It is God who provides the food and distributed freely what is needed to the poor, through us His workers. When we participate in this work with God, we will be enriched in every thing to all bountifulness. There should never be the perception that when we give, we will increase in riches. No! That's not what this is about. It is God who gives the increase so we can continue to give and meet the needs of others - it is not a one-off giving. Through our generous giving God will be glorified on the earth, and  thanksgiving offered to Him. No matter how small the gift, God appreciate it. If coming from a heart of willingness, cheerfulness and sincerity, He will therefore, bless the giver. We have this privilege and opportunity to participate in working with God even through our generous giving. Let's give with a cheerful and thankful heart.

Have a wonderful day and a bless weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
