'But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear' (Matthew 13:16).

Jesus was at the sea side sitting, when a multitude came to hear Him. He went into a ship and spoke to them in parables (Matthew 13:1,2). His disciples wanted to know why He spoke to the people in parables. Jesus addressing them contrast them to the unbelievers said, "...blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear." They were bless by Him to not only see Him physically in the flesh, but with divine sight to see His glory, to hear and understand His plan of salvation. The disciples who saw every miracle of Christ performed, and heard every sermon preached; was privy to receive an increase of wisdom and understanding. He pronounced their eyes to be blessed, as they perceived Him as the begotten Son of God and acknowledge Him as their Redeemer. They understood that it was only through Him they could obtain salvation. They beheld His glory and the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. We haven't seen Christ in the physical body, yet we see Him; nor have we spoken to him face to face, yet we hear; it is in the Gospel that we behold Him by faith. Those without sight cannot see anything, but when the Holy Spirit opens the eyes, amazing things,  spiritual things can be seen. We need to conform to the will of God to experience the blessings to 'see and hear'. We need to study the Word of God  diligently, with the aid of the Holy Spirit so we can listen to the voice of God as He speaks to our hearts, giving us His wisdom to understand. Like the disciples, we are assured of receiving increasing light and a full measure of divine knowledge. Those who God blesses with spiritual sight and hearing will be able to discern the spiritual things of God. The disciples had eyes that looked for light, and ears that were open to the divine voice of Christ. Christ was able to bless them with far more than they could ever imagine. He can do the same for us, if we too open our eyes and look for light and be opened to the Holy Spirit's leading. God is willing to bless us with eyes to see and ears to hear if we allow Him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
