'He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not' (John 1:10).

Jesus the Creator of the world, came down to earth with one purpose in mind, and that was to save mankind. God was present in the form of His Son and the world didn't recognise him. Jesus Christ was the Light of all light and illuminated the whole world, but the giver of light was rejected by men. John said, "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." How sad and heartbroken that must have been? Think about a child who rejects his parents, who did and give all they could to that child. He has made it big in the life and don't want to associate with them. Think of how heartbroken the parents would be. Well Jesus the Saviour, did all He could to save man from their sins; The Father's love for man, watch His only Son died  to give us life and hope eternal. How it pained His heart when we rejected Him, His knowledge and His Word.
Christ willingly came to bring light of the Father to darkened and dismal world, and to give life to all who are dead in their sins. Must not we accept the Saviour's love and turn from darkness into His marvellous light, and to accept His death and His truth? While Christ was on earth many witness His miracles and followed him every where He went. They were amazed by all the great things He said and did, and some did not believe him and hung him on the cross. We all need to know Christ personally and intimately for ourselves, to recognise Him as the source of our life. Without Him we are nothing, in Him we are everything! We must seek to develop a heart desirous of knowing the Giver of life - our life. Let us allow Him to open our eyes to see him; our ears to hear him and our hearts be lifted up to receive him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...
