'My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord' (Psalm 104:34).

Communication is a necessity of Life!  It is needed in order for interaction between people. It is not a one way process. So when we speak to God, we need to listen to what He has to say to us. Many a time we just have a one way conversation with Him, not stopping to listen to what He has to say and miss His important answer to our prayers. We must spend time with the Lord through His Word, in prayers, in praise, in quiet moments to hear Him speaking to us, and in quiet meditation. We can meditate upon God for His faithfulness; His love; His mercies; on His work of creation; as our Saviour and Redeemer. We can contemplate His wonderful grace and reflect upon His word of truth. In so doing He recognised that our hearts are resting on the sure foundation of peace and hope. No one knows our hearts but the Lord. He knows the thoughts of our minds, whether good or evil. He knows if our hearts are truly looking to Him and understand the deep meditation of our inner being. Like the psalmist, we too can exclaim, "My meditation of him shall be sweet!" When we survey God's wonderful works and think of who He is, He will graciously  accept our notes of praise. In meditating upon the Lord our souls will be refresh and our hearts fill with gladness and  joy as we desire to know Him more. When we meditate upon the Lord, our minds will be strengthen and our thoughts more centred towards Him. The more we know of Him the more we will trust him and seek to know him more intimately. It is sweet to tell Him of our love in prayer and praise; to show gratitude for His mercies and His love; of His immutable promises; and to anticipate the time we shall meet Him face to face and dwell with Him for ever. Let us seek to meditate daily as we contemplate the character of our Lord, as revealed in the Word of God and be glad in Him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
