'For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is a storm against the wall' (Isaiah 25 4).

O Lord our God, be thou exalted above the heavens, and let your glory fills the earth! Lord you are worthy of all our praise and we acknowledge that there is none like you. God's people who are poor and needy in a physical and spiritual sense, look to Jesus for strength and refuge. Especially when they are afflicted; been persecuted by men and experience afflicted circumstances. The Lord God is there strength. He will direct his peole to Christ, in whom is strength and righteousness. He will strengthen our hearts  with His love, when we are in these situations and allow us to experience His power. Christ will not be only our strength, but our refuge - in a place of safety. He will keep us safe from the storms of discord and despair that rage around us; the flood  of persecution that seeks to devour us; the boisterous winds that seeks to uproot us. He is the shadow from the heat of fury and fiery darts of temptations and woes Satan unleashes upon His people. We should not fear these things because Christ is our strength, our refuge and shadow.  He will protect us from the wrath of satan, whose intention is to crush and eradicate us from this earth. We need to trust that Christ is our strength, shield and protector; our refuge in times of trouble - He is refuge for us; and that we can find shelter in His shadow. As a protector, He will make us to stand as a wall firm and immovable against the wiles of the enemy; as we seek to put on the whole armour of God. The Lord is the strength of our life, and we will not be afraid. No matter how needy and distress we may be, God is able to support and deliver us. Let us rejoice in Him and not be discouraged, because His strength shall be perfected in our weaknesses

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
