'But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin' ( 1 John 1:7).

Walking in the light helps us to see clearly the way God sees things and to share His values. We will seek to live under the  controlling desire for God  instead of the world. You see, once we were in darkness, walking in the ways of the world. But Jesus called us out of that darkness of sin and death, into His marvellous light. In accepting Jesus as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, we place our faith in Him and His victory over sin and death at the cross; thereby been granted access to the throne room of God's grace. We are told to 'walk in the light,' the light of God's truth - His living Word which testify of Christ, the light of the world. When we walk in the light it brings our life into alignment with the Word of God. It brings a condition of fellowship not only with God but with other believers. It's also a cleansing from our sin by the blood of Jesus. It is important for us to be desirous of abiding in Christ and walking in His love, because we will continue to experience His saving grace, made possible by His shed blood as an atonement for our sin; and fellowship with God. The more time we spend with Jesus, the more like Him we become. We are transformed into His likeness as we continue to walk in the light of His truth and His righteousness. Christ wants us to walk in the light as He is in the light. That is, living in accordance with His perfect life and character, so we might be like Him and enjoy sweet fellowship with our heavenly Father and with each other. Choose today, to walk and to continue to walk in the light as Jesus is in the light, and to have a desire to have a more intimate fellowship with Him.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
