'There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?' (James 4:12).

We are all sinners who have sinned and come short of the glory of God; yet at times we act like we have never sin, yet assuming the role of judging others by our standards. It is not our job to do so, but God's! James is reminding us, that it is God who gave the law and He is the Judge. It his He alone who has the power to save and destroy, not us. We are all dependent on God's grace, therefore, we should not presume to pronounce any verdict on anyone base on our own judgement. Because the same judgement we mete out to others will be meted out to us. We are not exempted from God's judgement. It is God who is able to save us, and does that perfectly through His Son Jesus Christ who died on Calvary, to save us from our sins. Christ is mighty and able to save us to the uttermost, all who believe in Him and that He is the Son of God, and the Saviour of the world. He is Sovereign God and can save or destroy, whom he pleases. He is able to save who has been spoken against and destroy those who speaks against him. He is God, and who can be liken unto him? It is God the Father who has commissioned Jesus Christ, His Son to execute judgement, and presides in the judgement of all nations. We must remember, we are sinful and erring human beings, who has no power and no authority to judge others in the affairs of God. We may have human lawgivers and judges that judge the affairs of the land, but they too have derived their authority from God. They are to be obeyed as long as their commands are not opposing the commands of God. However, the judging of another's heart is the role of God, the source of all authority and justice. Let us be humble and remember that we have been guilty ourselves in the past and was graciously forgiven by God. We should then be mindful of our motives in judging others and give them the benefit of doubt. We ought to seek God and desire to be obedient to him, as we seek lovingly and with patience to help others on the right path to eternity.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
