'And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you' (Leviticus 20:8).

Each one of us has as this awesome opportunity to accept the plan of salvation, given freely to us by God to deal with the sin problem. Sin distorted the family of God and He wants to restore us to this family;  so the plan of redemption was established in heaven to address this problem. We are all given a freewill to choose to accept God and His plans for us, as He will not force any one to be obedient to Him. However, we must realised that there will be consequences to pay if we are not obedient to God. We must also accept Jesus Christ as our Lord, our Saviour and Redeemer by faith in order to be saved. We should be desirous of turning our hearts to God and away from sin and evil surmising. We ought to keep God's law and statutes and do them. This must not be a ritual for us, but be seen as a lifestyle. We must see it as important for our daily sustenance, and  essential in our ongoing walk with the Lord, who is the One who sanctifies us. God gives us His laws and statutes, not only to be hearers but doers of it.  In sanctifying us, we become holy and pure; in ourselves we cannot be holy and pure, but Christ in us does the purifying and sanctifying work in us to lift us up to God. That's why He can say with all confidence, "I am the Lord which sanctify you." God is the one working in our lives at all times, through the aid of the Holy Spirit for our sanctification. He is working to draw us closer to him, and conforms us into the image of Christ. Even when we are struggling with sin, God is near to help us. But we must be willing to turn everything over to him. He will purify and sanctify us. His aim is to work with us for the greater good of restoration to the family of God for eternity. Let us  thank God for the  sanctifying work He is doing in us, so we can be more and more like Christ. Let us be more of Christ today than we were yesterday.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
