'And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works'
(Hebrews 10:24).

To be a Christian is to follow Christ and emulate  him. We must speak as Christ spoke; walk as He walked and live as He lived. We must constantly be in obedience to God and live right. Through the righteousness of Christ we too will be able to live righteously. Central to our Christian walk, we must encourage others and accept encouragement from others. We are encouraged to walk steadfast in the Saviour's love and not give up on our faith in him. We should be there for each other. When persecution and fear come upon us, we should trust in God and encourage each other in the faith to 'hold fast' to God and His truth. It is our faith and confidence in God, and  knowing also that Jesus himself endure the cross and shame for us, that will help us to endure in such difficult times, as well as, the support and encouragement of our fellow believers. It is during these crucial times that our faith will stand out. Instead of reacting with fear, we should be confident of our faith in God, and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who is able to relate to what we are going through. We should with confidence and assurance seek to encourage fellow believers to do the same; not just believe, but act out in love and good deeds. Knowing with certainty, that Christ is undoubtedly the atoning sacrifice for our sin, should spur us on and encourage us to keep holding on with faith in the face of adversity and persecution. Let us desire to live godly lives in Christ, as we draw nearer to him with a true and undivided heart. Let us come to Him with a broken and contrite heart, having the confidence  and assurance of our faith; so our anchor will hold steadfastly to the promises of our unchangeable God. The love of Christ in our heart should propel us to love and be concerned for our brothers and sisters in Christ, that we will be able to stir up one another unto love and good deeds as Christ loves and cares for us.

Have a wonderful day and a bless weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
