'Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him' (James 1:12).

Since the fall of Adam and Eve, men have been tempted in all form to sin; to desire to do something wrong. The Devil is the instigator for all our temptations. We see where he even tempted Christ in the wilderness, after His forty days and nights of fasting. If he could tempt the Son of God, how much more will he not tempt us? Being tempted to do something wrong is not a sin, but it is when we yield that it becomes a sin. Christ endured and overcome the temptations of Satan and we can too, because Christ is our Example. When we truly love God, we will trust Him, and as we trust Him, we will obey Him even in difficult times. In our everyday life, we encounter personal difficulties and dangers. But it is our reaction to those distress, difficulties and despair, that determine whether we trust God or not.  It's when you trust God through those trials that our faith grows deeper and stronger. It then pushes us to greater endurance and mature us in a Christ-like manner. God's presence is with you and He is always near, even in your most difficult moments. He promises never to leave or forsake you; and its through these trying times when you pass through the fire, that it will not burn or kindle upon you. It is imperative that we maintain our trust in God. It is through our love for Him and our perseverance through hardships and overcoming our temptations, as a result of trusting God, that we will be rewarded a "crown of life." Our hardship will improve as we perseve, our quality of life will improve and our promise of abundant life assured. We should count it joy even in our worst moments and keep trusting God. Let us asked God for His wisdom as we read and meditate upon His Word, and obey all that we find in them. Praise God for His goodness, His love and grace as we seek to trust and to hold fast to His promises, so we can receive His promised reward.

Have a wonderful day and a bless weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
