'Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous' (1 Peter 3:8).

The Scripture teaches us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul and with all our mind, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. This is what sums up 'love', God is the eternal love. When we truly and wholeheartedly love God and each other, we will be like-minded, sympathetic, compassionate and humble. We are called as Believers to be of one mind - holding fast together in our faith in Christ and His truth and way; living in harmony with each other, and unite in spirit and mind speaking the same things pertaining to our salvation. We are to comfort, support and encourage one another in the faith. To have compassion towards one another and be empathic towards those experiencing perplexity and difficult situations or trials. We are called to love our brothers and sisters as Christ loved us all, and to pray for each other in christian love; to show pity for those who are hurting and have compassion for all we come in contact with. We are to be ready to show kindness while seeking a desire for the good of each other. We should be humble in spirit, making others the focus of our attention. Christ whilst He was on earth left the blueprint of love, so we can love as He loved. As His children we should seek to follow Jesus the Architect of our love and build solid, loving relationships with Him and each other. Knowing that God is the foundation of that love; Let us therefore show ourselves approved to God, by praying for each other; bearing one another's burden; forgiving each other; and  building each other up in the faith. Let us also seek to put on bowels of mercy for those in distress, anguish and pain; to seek those things which are agreeable to each other and to work through them. Be kind-hearted, gentle and at peace with each other. Let us live as Jesus did, love as He did, that we may have a life of eternity with Him when He returns the second time.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
