'I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive' (John 5:43).

The Jewish religious leaders were angry and very upset with Jesus, because He healed an impotent man who had been in this situation for forty years, on the Sabbath. Can you imagine their reaction? They were concerned about when the miracle was performed, rather than the amazing miracle they had just witness. They refuse to even believe that He was the messiah who came to save them and the world.  In verse 43, Jesus pointed out to them that, He came in the name of His Father, and they rejected Him, but are willing to accept the approval of men who came in their own name.
In our time, men are just the same. The masses chose to accept and believe the words of scientists, philosophers, naturalist, evolutionists and you name them; but the living Word of God they reject, and will not accept. The God who created all things is not glorified as these scholars and scientists, who themselves used the things God created to prove their theories. The Bible and nature teaches us all we need to know about our Creator, God. God knew some people would reject Him and refuse to accept He even exists. But His love for us was so overwhelmingly great, that He took it upon Himself to come down from heaven in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for every single person. The Jews who were supposed to bring light to the other heathen nations, refused to accept Jesus as the Messiah and saviour of the world. They have heard the testimony of John the Baptist, they saw the miracles of Jesus and they had great knowledge of the written Word; yet they refuse to believe in Him as the Messiah, because they were looking for someone like the earthly kings. Let us search the Scriptures with the aid of the Holy Spirit, and look at the evidence of a God who loves us so much that He died on the cross to save us for eternity. Rejection of Jesus is death, but acceptance of Him is life eternal.

Have a wonderful day and a bless weekend 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world;' (Titus 2:12). The grace of God brings salvation to all men, seeking a change in our conduct and attitude towards God and one another. It advocates a turning away from sin, and helps the believer in Christ to reject sinful desires and refrain from ungodly living. The grace of God teaches us to avoid behaviours that are sinful and will not enhance our lives; but it is to move us towards right behaviour and right thinking. Paul was instructing Titus to teach   boldly and with authority the conduct and behaviour God expects from His people. To encourage right thinking and behaviour by them living soberly, upright and godly lives. We are also encouraged as Believers in Christ to do the same. We must allow ourselves to be taught by the great Teacher, Jesus Christ, our Lord, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as we search the Scriptures daily an...

'For his merciful kindness is great towards us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise the Lord' (Psalm 117:2). The most important thing in life is having a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that we get to know our Maker and experience His love and His truth. When we recognised what God has truly done for us; of his great love and his faithfulness towards us; it should lead us to give Him praise and extol His holy name. God is kind to all his creatures and merciful to us as sinners, therefore, we know his merciful kindness is great towards us. In Christ, God has shown his mercy mixed with kindness, in giving up his Son to save us from our sins. For even though our sins be great, God's mercy is even greater than the sin. God's truth endures forever as his promises are sure. He is not slack concerning His promises to His people. He is trustworthy and faithful. The faithfulness and truth of God given in his promises never fails; nor does t...
