'They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever'
(Daniel 12:3).

Knowing Christ and having a knowledge of Him, is important in the Christian journey. He is the only way back to the Father. Therefore, if we know Him, we know God, the Father. He is the One who can make us wise unto salvation. It is the fear of God, that's the beginning of wisdom; Knowing the awesomeness of God, His providence, who He is and what He has done for us. God has given us His Word so we may know Him, know who we are, our purpose on this earth, and His plan for our future. Man's duty is to fear God and to keep His commandments. This encapsulates everything - our love for God and our love for each other. When we study God's Word and apply it to our lives, by the holiness and righteousness of God, we become wise unto salvation. That is, we have the wisdom to hear God's voice and be led to trust it and obey Him. Those who are thoroughly instructed in Christ's Word and doctrine shall indeed shine, and they who preach Christ crucified and is instrumented in the salvation of others, shall be as stars. We need to understand that true religion is wisdom and those who live for God and seek heaven as their home are truly wise.  Take a look at the sky in a clear night, we cannot see the vastness of the heavens, but where we are we can see the beauty and brightness of the stars illuminating across the vastness of the heaven. We are told that the wise - those who excel in understanding, shall shine as the brightness of heaven. That is absolutely breathtaking! But not only that, but those who with godly wisdom, patience, love and endurance, bringing others to  love and fear God; turning them to righteousness, will be as the stars for eternity. What a marvellous and awesome God we serve. Let us persevere, with forbearance and  patience, as we earnestly yearns and labour for the souls of men; that they too may enjoy eternity with Jesus when He comes. Let us now examine our lives, to determine whether we will shine like a star in heaven forever.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
