'And ye are Christ; and Christ is God's'
(1 Corinthians 3:23).
In seeking to know Christ, we should have a knowledge of who He is. Christ is a person of the God head who pre-existed the world and by Him and through Him all things were created and sustained. When man sinned God the Father came in the Person of His Son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins and bestow upon us eternal life. Christ is both eternal God and fully man. In that, He was born of a woman and of the Holy Spirit, which is a very unique and supernatural birth. He lived on earth and experience the trials, tests and temptations we seem to face today, yet He was sinless. He taught his disciples and his people how to live, as he ministered to them daily. He was ever obedient to the Father, even unto death - the death of the cross. He resurrected, ascended to heaven and was highly exalted of God who gave him a name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord. Christ is now interceding on our behalf as our High Priest and our Judge and will one day come back as our glorified King to vindicate His people who trusted, believed and died for his cause. When we know and understand who Christ is and how He impacts every aspect of our daily lives, we will come to realise that there is no one or anything more important to us than He is. We have the assurance that we belong to Christ and He belongs to God. We are His when we accept and trust in him by faith through his grace. We have forgiveness of sin, sealed by His Holy Spirit and become joint-heirs of His rich inheritance and will have eternity with him when He comes back to take us home. Let us not glory in men, but in God and in Christ, as we continue to grow in His grace by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Let us be humble and obedient as Christ was to the Father; because we belong to him, as unto God. If Christ belongs to God, we too belongs to God, for we come to God through Christ.
Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹
'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more
