'By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life'
(Proverbs 22:4).

What does it mean to have humility? True humility is considered a virtue and a cheerful submission to the will of God, caused by  selflessness. In our present society we see entitlement and over-
confidence being celebrated, which is a total focus on self. Therefore, you find people are more competitive and even obsessed with their appearance, amongst other things. One should realise that humility is not about pleasing other people or putting yourself down, but it's about becoming a more harmonised individual. It's not that you don't  think of yourself, but that you do it less. When we fear the Lord and his goodness, we will walk humbly before Him, and our attitude and behaviour towards others  will reflect the will of God,  flowing from his grace. God will reward us with spiritual riches, honour towards Himself and others and everlasting life in the world to come. Christ set the example of humility when he humbled Himself to death upon the Cross for us. Humility lives in the presence of the crucified Christ and is a trust of His love and love to Him. When we fear God, the spirit of pride cannot take residence in our heart. But what is it that's hindering us from being  humble? May be it is our lack of faith in God. Could it mean that we are more focus on what we can see than who He is and what He can do? Humility comes when we fear the Lord. Let us through the Spirit, walk humbly with God, reverence His majesty and  authority and submit with all humility to the command of His word. We will be benefited with riches and honour and life.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and

'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more

'Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still' (Psalm 4:4). God knows everything about us, because he is God, our Creator and there is nothing that can be hidden from him. He knows the heart and the intents of the heart; Our thoughts, emotions, desires and motives, whether they be good or evil. He knows the godly from the ungodly, and have set apart those who are godly for himself, and will hear when they call unto him (verse 3). We are all called to be in a right relationship with God. Those who accept this call should have daily communion with Him through the study of His Word, prayer and supplications, allowing the Holy Spirit access in their hearts, that they might not wilfully sin against Him. We need to search our hearts daily and be silent before God as we contemplate his grace and his mercy towards us, and He will reveal Himself to us. When our enemies seek to do us harm, or people speak lies about us, simply look to Jesus and trus
