'The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer' (1 Peter4:7).

Do you believe the end of all things is at hand? Peter wrote this over 2000 years ago connecting the end time with more fervent prayer. It is time to be ready for the coming of the Lord, we see the signs of the times and know we are in the end time. This is the time we see faith in action; sanctify yourself and die daily to self so you will be able to live unto God. That means seeking things that are above and letting go of pride, covetousness, selfishness, love of self, love of the world, jealousy, hatred and the list goes on. All these things must be subdued before Jesus comes. Seek not to murmur nor complain, be not fretful and worrisome, but look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is our hope and our peace. Be more earnest and disciplined in your prayers to God. Keep fervent in your love for one another, be hospitable to one another without complaint. Peter is saying to us, this is the time, more than ever to pray, and to be alert at all times. We must pray for strength to escape all that is taking place and will continue to take  place until the coming of Jesus. Don't be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and worries of life. But be sober for prayer lest we fall in love with this world and become spiritually dull, that the day of the Lord comes upon us like a thief in the night and we be destroyed. We need to pray without ceasing; every day and every hour that we might escaped the traps the devil sets for us. To pray that we will stand before the King of kings, and Lord of lords, the great I Am, for eternity when He returns. I am looking forward to that day. Are you?
Let us purpose in our hearts to all be there when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. Keep praying and believing the promises of God.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...
