'Be not worth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people'
(Isaiah 64:9).

God is our Creator and with His love he made man in His own image and likeness. As our Creator he has the authority over our lives, and does according to His will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, what doest thou? (Daniel 4:35).

Israel sinned greatly against God and knew they were deserving of His wrath. Isaiah on behalf of the people appeal to God not to be overly angry with them but in his mercy to forgive them and not  remember their iniquity for ever. He was to look upon all their troubles and distresses with compassion and to consider that they are His people. We have the   experiences of Israel and their rebellious attitude to God, time and time again; and how God dealt with their situation. What are the sins and iniquities that we bear today, that warrants the wrath of God? What are our attitudes towards our wrongs? Are we willing to acknowledge them and ask God to pardon us; be willing for Him to correct us; to be merciful towards us? God is a loving, compassionate and longsuffering God, who is very patient with us. However, we shouldn't take Him for granted and keep sinning, being ungrateful and disobedient. One day He will hear us no more, we will not be able to hear from him. Today while we can, let us search for Him  with our whole heart and when we do, He promises that we will find him. Let us learn to adhere to the will of God and pray earnestly to him, to forgive us when we sin and spare us from his wrath. He has a right to be angry with us and to remember our iniquities  for as long as he wants. But because of His grace and mercy He doesn't consume us as we deserve. He therefore will hear us when we call upon Him because he loves us and we are his people.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and

'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more

'Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still' (Psalm 4:4). God knows everything about us, because he is God, our Creator and there is nothing that can be hidden from him. He knows the heart and the intents of the heart; Our thoughts, emotions, desires and motives, whether they be good or evil. He knows the godly from the ungodly, and have set apart those who are godly for himself, and will hear when they call unto him (verse 3). We are all called to be in a right relationship with God. Those who accept this call should have daily communion with Him through the study of His Word, prayer and supplications, allowing the Holy Spirit access in their hearts, that they might not wilfully sin against Him. We need to search our hearts daily and be silent before God as we contemplate his grace and his mercy towards us, and He will reveal Himself to us. When our enemies seek to do us harm, or people speak lies about us, simply look to Jesus and trus
