'And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness' (Romans 8:10).

We belong to God when He created us, then sin separated us from Him. He didn't just leave it there; He came in the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ and bought us back with the precious blood of Jesus, so we could be His again. That's such a beautiful love story, of One who loves so much - our heavenly Father. We too have a part to play in this story. We must accept Jesus Christ, the Son of God by grace through our faith in Him to be apart of the family of God. Every born-again believer has the Spirit of Christ within them and now belongs to Him. Without the Spirit, we can not belong to Christ, because they both work together. When Christ lives in us, the body is dead because of sin - that is, our physical human body starts to die and will eventually die as a result of sin in us and in this world. But it doesn't end there, it also means we are spiritually alive in the Spirit. Our righteousness is as filthy rags, so it is only because of Christ's righteousness, that we are spiritually alive, even though our physical sin-ridden body is dying. Praise be to God!  We all have a choice, we can choose either to accept Christ and have life in him through the Holy Spirit or to deny Christ and die  physically and spiritually. We were created to live in total dependence upon the Lord and not to rely upon ourselves. To have and enjoy sweet fellowship with our heavenly Father, be guided by His Holy Spirit as we abide in Christ and He in us. Let us choose to accept Christ and His righteousness and live the life God designed for us to live. Let us praise and thank God that even though the physical body is dying because of sin, the spirit is alive because of righteousness. One day we will be with Christ forever and will receive a new resurrected body like Christ's, for eternity.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and

'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you' (John 14:18). Jesus is awesome and full of compassion. He loved his disciples and wanted them to understand about His death and resurrection; that He would be going away for a while. He knew they would be confused and devastated, so he hastened to comfort them. He said, 'Let not your heart be troubled: Ye believe in God, believe also in me...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there ye may be also' (John 14:1-3). He also promised another Comforter, that he can abide with them forever. What a merciful and loving Saviour! He went further to say he would not leave them comfortless; but will come to them. He was like a father to them, as He and the Father are one. Therefore, He promised not to leave them fatherless, or as an orphan. But will come to them. Speaking of His death and resurrection He said that in a little while the world would not see him no more

'Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still' (Psalm 4:4). God knows everything about us, because he is God, our Creator and there is nothing that can be hidden from him. He knows the heart and the intents of the heart; Our thoughts, emotions, desires and motives, whether they be good or evil. He knows the godly from the ungodly, and have set apart those who are godly for himself, and will hear when they call unto him (verse 3). We are all called to be in a right relationship with God. Those who accept this call should have daily communion with Him through the study of His Word, prayer and supplications, allowing the Holy Spirit access in their hearts, that they might not wilfully sin against Him. We need to search our hearts daily and be silent before God as we contemplate his grace and his mercy towards us, and He will reveal Himself to us. When our enemies seek to do us harm, or people speak lies about us, simply look to Jesus and trus
