'If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles' (Job 11:14).

Our bodies are the temple of the Lord and we should learn to take care of them physically, spiritually and mentally. They are not our own, they belong to God and therefore, we should avoid wickedness or evil dwelling in them - our tabernacles. The Temple  of the Lord, where God meets with His people is a holy place. Therefore  our body should be a holy place where Christ wants to dwell. We should be careful what we put in our bodies and what we do with it. If we regard iniquity in our heart, we should stretch out our hands to God in prayer and supplication and earnestly seek pardon through the blood of Jesus, or God will not hear us. He is the only One who can put it far away from us. When iniquity is in our hands we should detest it and refrain from holding on to it, allowing Christ to put it far away from us. We should not harbour or deal with evil practices, as God will not be please with us. Job's friends thought he was guilty of sinning terribly against God, as a result of the things happening to him. Even though they we wrong about Job, they still knew what God expected from His people. We should not think evil thoughts or carry out evil work, but instead, should seek to renounce such things; shunning the very occasion and appearance of them. The Word of God said, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me (Psalm 66:18).  Therefore if at any time iniquity is present in our hearts we must acknowledge and confess it before God. It is the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all our sins and iniquities. Let the righteousness of Christ replace our righteousness and lead us to life everlasting, because our righteousness is as filthy rags. It cannot help us, but Christ's righteousness will indeed please God. Let us therefore, think pure thoughts; things that are true, honest, just, pure and lovely, as we seek to stay true to God.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
