'Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths'
(Psalm 25:4).

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). When we  fear the Lord, He will shew us his ways and teach us his paths, that we may choose aright. Life is  a journey; we can either choose to follow our own ways, which lead to hell and death or God's way that leads to heaven and eternal life.  We can also choose to follow our own path of sin or the path of God - righteousness. It is of uttermost importance that we learn to trust God. We must desist from leaning on our own understanding or trusting our own path, but follow God's way and allow Him to direct our steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 counsel us to, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean to your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path." We should at all times, trust in the Lord; in good times and in bad times. He will never let us down. When in distress, or in danger and we are trodden and beaten down from every side, we only need to trust God and wait upon him; believing He who promise is faithful and will help us. It is vital to man to learn the ways of the Lord and to discover which path He wants us to follow. The best way to do so, is through the Scriptures which tells us all we need to know about God and his love for us, his ways and what is expected of us. We ought to walk in the counsel of the Lord; commit our ways to him and submit to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are to learn to be wholly dependent on Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, our solid Rock and our hope; so we can walk in the path God had ordained for us. Let us by the grace of God, trust in His Word, which is a light to our path and a lamp unto our feet, that will illuminate the path God  intended us to tread. Let us take note and follow Jesus' example, while He was on earth. He trust totally in His Father and was obedient to His will to the end. We too have the opportunity to trust in Jesus and be obedient to the will of God. Let us, by the power of the Holy Spirit then die daily to self and live unto the Lord, that He may show us his ways and teach us his paths. He has set before us life and death, and implore us to choose life. Which will you choose today?

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
