'He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy'
(Proverbs 28:13).

Every person on this planet, earth was born in sin. This we inherited from Adam and Eve after the fall. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. But how we handle our sins make all the difference. The Word of God says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). However, if you keep your sins in your heart and hide them, you will not prosper. God will not hear your prayers if you regard iniquity in your heart (Psalm 66:18); and will turn His face against you (1 Peter 3:12). The wonderful thing about God is that he doesn't force us to do anything; In His love, he has give us the power of free will to choose. We can therefore choose to do good or evil, choose God or Satan. God counsels us to choose Him, which is life, but at the end of the day we are the ones  to make the choice. When we sin we have that choice: we can either keep it to ourselves, hide it from others or not mentioning it to God; even though God knows everything, but would rather us to come and share it with him, seeing He is a God of relationship. Or, we could recognise that we have sinned and come confessing our sins openly to God. If our sins involve others, we need to go to them and ask forgiveness. We must also take the necessary steps to avoid committing such sins again. God is indeed merciful and forgiving. There is nothing too hard for him. He is the One who has the ability to forgive and pardon sins. Today, you have a choice: to cover your sins and not prosper or to confess and forsake them and receive God's mercy. God is willing and waiting to receive you with life and light.  We see in the story of David, when he committed adultery with Bathsheba and then plotted murder to kill her husband, that the very instant he went and openingly confess his sins to God, he graciously forgive him. David never did such sin again and God saw him as a man after his own heart. How you choose to handle your sins will determine your future, so I implore you to choose wisely!

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
