'Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God'
(2 Corinthians 1:4).

There are many people suffering as a result of affliction, sickness and even traumatic experiences. They are troubled from side to side and  become overwhelmed by these experiences. Some do not know what to do or who to turn to and experience hopelessness; while others who trust in the living God, find comfort in him. You need to understand that whatever you're going through, God is not immune to your situation. He promised to be there with you when you go through tribulations and afflictions; your sickness and bereavement. He is the Father of all mercies and the God of all comfort. We need to trust God! When we trust Him and have confidence in His ability to help us through our storms of afflictions, He will comfort us. He loves each one of us, and wants us to be in good health - physically, spiritually and mentally. When we are hurting or in turmoil, He is the source of our comfort and is merciful towards us; We only need to trust Him. Paul himself had experienced many sufferings and afflictions, even to the point of death  for the cause of Christ. God had been his source of comfort through it all, enabling him to be a comfort to those who were going through the sea of afflictions. Through the Word of God, we see that enabling power of God, as a source of comfort for us experiencing afflictions, or trauma, or persecution. When we experience sufferings of any kind and are burdened, and call upon the name of Jesus, God hears and carries our burdens and give us the strength we need to function. As God comforts us through our own experiences, we are better able to be compassionate and empathetic towards others who are suffering and be relatable to those especially with similar experiences. We can express to them how God had comforted us in our time of need and be of encouragement to them. As believers, we should not see sufferings as a bad thing. We must seek to view what we are going through with a sense of purpose, as to the reason that God is allowing this to happen to us. When God has comforted us, strengthen and encouraged us, through our sufferings, we are given the opportunity to work with God in bringing comfort to others in their time of need. It is God who is the source of all our comfort, but he engages us to bring comfort to others based on our own experiences and dependence upon him. Let us keep praising and giving God the glory as we seek to do his will.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
