Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee' (Psalm 25:1).

Integrity is about being honest and sincere; doing the right thing regardless of your circumstances, even if no one is watching. It is also about being true to one's self, being transparent and open with others. Uprightness is having a strict adherence to moral principles; being honourable and honest and be able to conform to the standards of righteousness that lead to those principles. David trusted God and wanted God to perfect his heart and help him to uphold His standard of uprightness to preserve him as he continue to wait on him. He knew God personally and that he could trust Him to do what was right and to protect him from his enemies, so he was appealing to God's integrity and uprightness.  David had displayed integrity and uprightness  as his enemies seek to destroy and discredit him; but he seek most of all the promises of God's protection through His integrity and uprightness, as he continue to trust and wait on him for deliverance. We have a duty to obey God and that include living a life of integrity. We must be sincere, honourable, open and honest in all circumstances and live ever to please God as we seek to do all that is right. However, it doesn't mean we should trust in our own integrity or uprightness; but in the integrity and uprightness of the One who that never breaks a promise and is true and righteous - Our Lord Jesus Christ. As we wait on the Lord, let us continue to trust Him. Our integrity and uprightness rest upon the  Lord's - His goodness and grace towards us, his faithfulness in his promises, his loving kindness and is truth. We must walk in God's ways  and allow him to keep us in his ways that we might bear up under difficulties, be able to resist evil and be strong to do good in everything. We must look to God to sustain our integrity, because in him we will overcome the urge to do evil and seek to do good. Without Christ in us, we cannot attain moral integrity or uprightness. It is He who helps us to conquer our faults as we remain obedient to him. Let us strive to be humble, honest and sincere in all our dealings as we grow in grace, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us be sincere and upright towards God and do all the good we can as we wait in faith upon him.

Have a wonderful day🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
