'For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world'
(John 6:35).

Christ is the true and living bread and anyone who partakes of this bread shall live forever. He, the bread of life has given His life for all. When we believe on Him, we shall have everlasting life. Jesus said, "This is the bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever" (John 6: 58). The manna (bread of angels) which came down from God was heavenly bread, that typified and prefigured Christ, the true and living bread of God, coming down from the highest heaven to give life to us. Jesus speaking to the people back then, wanted them to understand that it is through faith and not works that eternal life is gained. The same principle applies to us  today, that it is by faith and not our deeds that is the source of salvation. We must believe on Christ through grace and by faith in order to inherit eternal life. For it is Christ, the bread of God, which came down from heaven that can save us. God the provider and giver, loves us and wants to save us. He provides the Bread for our sustenance and gives the  Bread for our salvation, for us to feed upon and gain eternal life. Christ giveth life unto the world, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, bond or free; from generation to generation. All we need to do is accept and believe on Him and hereby inherit eternal life. John 1:4 says, "In him was life; and the life was the light of men." We must appreciate Christ, the true bread, which was far greater than the manna God fed the Children of Israel with in the wilderness. This bread of God, gives and sustain spiritual life, while the manna sustained the physical life. It also leads us to eternal life, which the manna could not do; this bread was given to all the world, while the manna was for a specific nation. Let us trust and by faith believe on Christ, the true and living bread of God, who has the power to save us from our sins and lead us to life eternal.
Thank you God, for the living bread you provide for us, to sustain and give us life.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

'But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). The Lord is our Provider and knows all that we are in need of before we even ask. We do not need to worry or fret ourselves about what we shall eat or drink. Our Father in heaven will take care of these things we need. We are told by Jesus, 'To seek first the kingdom of God.' What does that mean? It means we should lean on, and trust in the grace of Jesus Christ. We should repent of our sins and have a desire to turn away from it. We should seek to put God first in our praise to Him, in our worship of Him, to put our total trust in Him and to rely on Him  rather than ourselves or others. We need to seek Him first in our reassurance and acknowledging who He is and what He can do. We also need to seek God's righteousness by  loving our neighbors and feeding the poor and destitute, seek justice for the vulnerable. We should put God's plan and...

'Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead , yet shall he live;' (John 11:25). The story of Lazarus is a well known one in the Bible. He and his sisters Martha and Mary were friends of Jesus, who loved them. Lazarus became sick and died, and after four days Jesus raised him from the dead. This was more for benefits of those around including His disciples, so that they may truly believe that God had sent him.  He was speaking  with Martha who was more focused on the telling Jesus the problem, than demanding a specific solution. We too can be so focus on the problems we faced, that we forget that God is  much bigger that the problem and is our solution to them. When Jesus told her Lazarus would rise again, she understood it to mean he would live again someday. But Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he was dead, yet shall he live." Christ at this time, was able...
