'I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth' (3 John1:4).

John's letter was addressed to his friend Gaius to whom he had great love and admiration. Gaius was a faithful witness to the truth of the gospel and also walked in the truth. In his greeting to his friend, John was also encouraging him to continue to testify of Jesus and walk in spirit and in truth. In our society today, amidst all the difficulties we face; the trials we go through and the pain and suffering we bear; as believers, we should never lose sight of Jesus. We  must keep reflecting the love of Christ by our attitudes and actions. How do we treat our fellow believers, as well as unbelievers we daily come in contact with? We ought to lift each other up and encourage one another in the faith, as witnesses of the gospel of Christ, walking in the truth.
There may be fellow believers who walk contrary to the gospel for one reason or another, we must help through love and patience to steer them back to the path of truth; that they may again enjoy the right  fellowship with their Saviour. We ought to allow the Holy Spirit to influence our lives, by submitting our will to the will of God and abiding in Christ, our Lord. As we reflect Christ, his grace and truth, we will live a life of truth - a newness of life in Christ; that Christ himself will utter these words to us, "Well done my children." We are to lead our children in the way of the Lord, teach them about God and what he has done for us through his Son, Jesus Christ. Let them see Christ truly living in us, that they too may be converted to Christ. We must be a light to those around us, that are in darkness, that they may know the pure unadulterated truth of the gospel of Christ and be converted. The Lord will rejoice in everyone to accepts and believe on him. As believers we have a duty to God and to man to bring unbelievers to Christ. Let us hold fast to Christ's truth; to live and  practise it daily, having the peace of God that passeth all understanding. Let us learn to express joy and gladness when we see our fellow Christians walking in the truth and shining for Jesus, as we look to Jesus our ultimate truth.

Have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
