'But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand' (Isaiah 64:8).

We are God's masterpiece of creation; we were created fearfully and wonderfully in the image and likness of God. After sin we lost that image and likness of God. Adam was created in the image of God, but after he sinned, his children were born in his image. It took the Son of God, through his redeeming blood to restore us to God's image. As sinners can only attain to righteousness of Christ, as our righteousness is as filthy rags.  As we continue to sin and commit iniquity, it is only God's mercy towards us that prevent us from being consumed. Israel rebelled and disobeyed God, they turned their backs on God and wandered far from him. But as Isaiah, the prophet of God looked back on what God had done for them; His continuous love, his mercy towards them, his patience and longsuffering. He appealed to God on their behalf, as he uttered the words, "But now, O Lord, though art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we are the work of thy hand." We too  have sinned and committed iniquity. We have rebelled and disobeyed God. Let us look to our wonderful and loving God, who is ever patient and longsuffering towards us, and cry out to him as we confess our sins and fool-hardiness. Some have strayed from God, leaving their first love. God is calling you back to him, no matter how far you have wandered from him. Will you not heed the call today? He is willing to hear and listen to you and to save you. He wants to be your Potter, to mold you and put you back to together; to restore you to his image again. Reflect on all God has done for you in the past and petition his throne of grace, confessing your sins and turning away them; also turn away from your  pride and foolish path. Let all of God's people, all believers from every corner of the earth, open their hearts and draw closer to God. Let us humble ourselves and in submission, place ourselves in the Potter's hand. God is our Father,  we are the clay, He is our potter. Allow Him to melt, mold and and fashioned each of us, as He makes us into clean vessels for His kingdom. We can then rejoice and be glad that we are the works of his hand and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Jesus is coming soon, take a look at where you are with him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord' (Hebrews 12:14).  God is a God of peace and of such wants His Children to seek peace between themselves and others. We are also encouraged to pursue a life of holiness, which can only happen through having a relationship with God and being empowered by the influence of the Holy Spirit. As we turn the eyes of our heart upon Jesus, fixing the thoughts of our minds on Him, that His peace, like a river flows into our heart, and His holiness becomes a reality in our life as we consecrate it to Him. We are called to be holy in our thoughts, in words and our deeds; but cannot achieve it by our own efforts.  W e must be consecrated in body, soul, and mind, but not of our own strength. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that we can pursue holiness and be at peace with each other. Without the Holy Spirit leading us to live a life of ho...
