'Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me'
(Proverbs 1:28).

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and also of knowledge. Those who despise the wisdom of God and his instructions are described as fools (Proverbs 1:7).
To daily sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to his wonderful counsel is a very good practice to adapt. We should also study His Word and allow Him to speak to us through it. When we choose to neglect the Word of God and refuse His counsel, we are going down a very dangerous path - the way of destruction. The Bible says, "I will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when when your fear cometh...when distress and anguish cometh upon you" (Proverbs 1:26-27). As a result of ignoring God's wisdom, when you call upon the Lord, guess what? He will go silent! He will go silent because you have disregarded His Word and his counsel; He have called and you did not listen. Now, He not only will not answer, but when you seek him, you shall not find him. God is saying to us, "will you not seek my true wisdom?" It's about choosing the right path and considering the consequences before disaster strikes. As human beings, we naturally seem to do the very opposite. We act foolishly; doing our own thing, before we think of the consequences. It is when we are faced with disaster as a result of our actions, we seek help. But we must realise that our bad choices comes with dire consequences and when we seek God as our last resort, he will become silent. We have wandered from Him and disobey His commands and counsels, and He becomes silent. Let us purpose in our hearts to seek God while he can be found; to seek His wisdom as we revere him. Let us take heed and accept His calling when he reaches out to us, that he will not refuse to hear us when we seek His face. Christ came to save all of us because of the Love of God. Let us not reject him as the Jews did at His first coming, because they couldn't accept Him as the Messiah. But Let us trust in the living Word of God and open our hearts to receive Him; to listen to His counsel as we seek to obey Him. When He returns the second time as our victorious King of Kings, our Prince of peace, let us all aspire to be faithful so we can be with Him for eternity.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
