'...I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye'
(Ezekiel 18:32).

The God of heaven, our Father, has no desire for anyone to die. That's why at the entrance of sin, He came down to eradicate it and to save mankind. He wanted to restore us back to himself and for us to live forever with him. He gave us freedom of choice to choose life and not death. He did all he could to save us; He came down in the form of His Son, to give his life a ransom for ours. It is God who through the Holy Spirit, that is pleading with us to turn away from sin and give our lives to him, where we shall be safe evermore. God, through the prophet Ezekiel was pleading with his people Israel to repent and turn from their sins, and not let their sins destroy them. He wanted them to put their rebellion behind them and seek a new heart and and a new spirit. He then ask the question, "Why will you die, O house of Israel?" His love and compassion for them was evident and he continued to say, "...I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth... wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye."
(Ezekiel 18:30-32). God is asking us the same question, he asked Israel, "Why will you die?" Christ our Saviour is pleading with us to put away our rebellion, repent of our sins and live. John the Baptist preached repentance; Christ did throughout his ministry; his disciples did and now God has a people who he has called to preach repentance to a dying world. Do you want to die eternally or do you want to live with Jesus forever? The choice is yours! Know this, God doesn't want you to die. We will die physically, because the wages of sin is death; but remember the gift of God is eternal life. God is calling you today, to turn away from sin and choose to live a life with him in eternity. God is so merciful and full of compassion and his mercies endure for ever. He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked; those who rebell against him and the principles he has laid down for them; but the choose to follow after their own way. When they refuse to repent and change their ways, He will delight in the exercise of judgment and righteousness and will laugh at their calamities. However, He doesn't take pleasure in their afflictions and sufferings, but would rather they repent and turn to his ways. Today, If you hear the voice of Jesus speaking to you, harden not your heart. Seek a new heart and a new spirit, turn to Jesus and he will surely save you. Let us place ourselves in the hands of Jesus and find security in him as we seek to spend eternity with Him.

Have a wonderful day 🌹🌹

Devotional 'The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed' (Psalm 28:8). The Lord our God is the glory of our strength, and in His name we shall rejoice all the day. The Lord is our strength, and the saving strength of His anointed. It is through Christ our anointed that all our blessings come to us. Here we see David, who is a type of our Lord Jesus, praising God. What about you? Christ had done much for us and has achieved full salvation for us, therefore, praise Him! We, like Israel are encouraged that the Lord is our Strength and salvation. When we seek to be in a  relationship with God, He will protect us from our enemies and save us from the crutches of Satan. Just as how Satan attempts to destroy Christ many times, whilst he was on earth, God  saved him and will do the same for us. Christ died to save us all, but it is those who trust Him and have a saving relationship with him that will spend eternity with. He is our High Priest, and J...

'I protest by your rejoicing  which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily' (1 Corinthians 15:31). Christ our Lord came and died for each and everyone to save us from the bondage of sin. He lived on this earth, ministered to the needs of all who He encountered; He was crucified, and resurrected and is now interceding for us, as our High Priest in Heaven. What if there was no resurrection? What would be the implications for God's people? The preaching of the gospel would be a lie, our faith would be worthless and we would all have remained in our sin. Paul is saying, there would be no cause to his dying daily, or for any one who believed and accept Jesus as their personal Saviour to die daily. Paul was expecting death at any time for Christ's sake. He was constantly in peril of his life, he encountered extreme sufferings and was beset with death. He was willing to die at anytime and in any way for Christ's sake. He did not count his life dear unto himself, but...

'The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing' (Zephaniah 3 17). What an amazing and wonderful God we serve, who is mighty to save. The Lord our God is with us and is mighty to save. He will take great delight in us and will quiet us with his love, and also rejoice over us with singing. We didn't have to do anything for God to love us, he did because he created us and we are His. He created us and loves us just as we are. Even when we did not deserve it, the Lord took delight in us. What an awesome God! He is present in the midst of us, loving and caring for us. He protects and defend us; died to save us from sin, so we can have life and have it more abundant. He is mighty to save us from fears; our enemies and the bondage of sin and death. We all need a Saviour, Christ the Lord, who is the cure for our problems and the antidote to sin. Christ has already won ...
